Pulmonary Hypertension is where the pulmonary artery is backing up causing the blood flow to cause hypertension in the lungs. you have different blood pressures through out your body, your reg blood pressure sytemic.... normal 120/80... well you have blood pressures like that in your heart and lungs during different phases of the beating of the heart.
Pulmonary hpertension is very very dangerous...

just a little advice... viagra is being researched as a treatment for pulmonary hypertension, because it dialates the pulmonary artery. (seriously do research on it) we have given it to babies in icu for a while when they were on a ventilator to increase there survival rates... there is also treatment w/ nitrous oxide....
I have seen heart caths done and the actual pressures droped when a pateient was given viagra and also the nitrous oxide, when the pulmonary artery was dialated....

Pulmonary hypertension is the medical name. It just means you have high blood pressure in your lungs. The treatment would probably depend on the cause, so its tough to say.
