Any ways to overcome hypertension?

Are there any tips / foods which could reduce hypertension problem?

there are modifiable and unmodifiable risk factors for hypertension some things you can change and others which you cannot. a doctor should be consulted to determine whether medication is the route for yourself.

stop smoking, fatty salty foods, watch your weight, alcahol, excersise, lots of water. if its hereditary there is nothing more you can do except live a healthy as possible lifestyle.

Cutting down on sodium (salt) should help some. Also, cut down on fried foods, which will help cholesterol, too.

Introduction
Following the DASH diet鈥攁n eating plan that is low in cholesterol, saturated fat, and total fat, but rich in low-fat dairy foods, fruits, and vegetables鈥攈as been proven to lower blood pressure. DASH also recommends eating whole grains, fish, poultry and nuts as part of a balanced diet.

DASH is one of several lifestyle changes your doctor may recommend to lower your high blood pressure. Your doctor may also want you to decrease the amount of sodium and sodium-rich prepared foods in your diet. Lowering sodium while following DASH has been proven to lower blood pressure even further than just DASH alone. 1

Key points:

Eating fewer processed foods, such as snack items, luncheon meats, and canned soups, will reduce the amount of sodium in your diet and help you lower your blood pressure.
A diet low in calcium, potassium, and magnesium and high in sodium may cause high blood pressure.
To increase the potassium in your diet, fruits and vegetables are excellent sources of this nutrient. Dairy products are high in calcium and magnesium. DASH recommends that you eat 8 to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables and 3 servings of low-fat dairy products per day.
Eating a diet low in both saturated fats and total fat will also help lower your blood pressure. Only 30% of your total calories should be from fats, with only 7% to 10% of your fat calories from saturated fats. Saturated fats are found in meats, cheese, butter, poultry, snack foods, and other foods.
In general, vegetarian diets reduce blood pressure. The DASH diet could easily be a vegetarian diet if legumes were substituted for meat. Vegetarian diets tend to be higher in potassium, magnesium, and calcium, as is the DASH diet. Vegetarian diets also are higher in fiber and unsaturated fats than other diets.
Controlling your weight, increasing your physical activity, and reducing sodium in your diet will help reduce your blood pressure even more when combined with the DASH diet.

There is a herb called thorn apple. It is otherwise a poisonous plant. Grown wild near some watery places 2feet long but tends to spread itself on ground. It bears small apple size fruit ,greenish in colour with thorns on it so that animals do nt eat it being a poison. When the fruit is ripe it hangs dry from the plant and bursts at the bottom, has brown kidney shaped seeds. Collect these ripe seeds and after drying keep in bottle. Daily at night take only 4 seeds ( more could have poisonous effect ) with one black pepper seed with a cup of milk at bed time once in 24 hours. In the meantime keep taking your other hypertension medicine regularly till your BP starts going down and becomes lower than the normal limit. Then leave the medicine and cotinue with the above herbal medicine till you feel the heat of hypertensoin has gone out of your body and your BP has stabilized/ become normal. You may not now take it regularly but can take it occasionally whenever you feel high BP. I have myself tried this herbal medicine and left taking BP tablets "TENORMIN 100mg " on daily basis. It is a slow but a sure medicine with no known side effects. But be warned that the seeds are a poison in case you exceed the doze or take it more than once in 24 hours.
