Has anyone ever been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism? Would you kindly share your experiences? I had been diagnosed with it almost two years ago. Before the diagnosis, I was depressed to the point that I wanted to do nothing but sleep, or lay in bed and watch TV. I still was able to go to work but groaned if I had to get out of bed and do something or go somewhere like the workplace. I didn't eat very much to not at all. Didn't go to bathroom very much; sometimes not at all. I was totally constipated. I felt I was disconnected from the world and my friends and family. I had some suicidal thoughts to contend with, but was afraid to die. So I finally was diagnosed at the urging of a relative, and doctor/endocrinologist said the word: "Hyperparathyroidism." He said it can cause things like osteoporosis, kidney stones, and some mental issues. Right now, my blood calcium levels have gone down a little, and my doctor is having me monitored, and my blood checked every six months. He doesn't feel I need surgery at this time. DO NOT WAIT TO SEE A DOCTOR!!!!!! SURGERY IS THE ONLY CURE. Go this web site. Just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism...totally the opposite |
