Does hyperopia of +6.0 in infants usually reduce as they grow up? |
the infant is in glasses now This may not be true for all cases but I think that as the eyes grow and mature the correction the lenses are giving the child will eveutally correct the eyes. Not to 20/20 or to the point where they won't have to wear glasses but the point where they won't have to wear a +6.00 But it would all depend on the problem. |

Dear Friend, Hard and Soft lens terminologies are pretty outdated these days. RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) and Soft CL are better terminologies. The difference is in the material they are made... I think you have some confusion about the requirements for laser correction. You don't have to be 7.00 diopters nearsighted to get it! Technically, you don't need to be a certain age but ... |
