Do you think by the time im 20+? |
ill be at -7:00 i want lasik I think you have some confusion about the requirements for laser correction. You don't have to be 7.00 diopters nearsighted to get it! Technically, you don't need to be a certain age but you need to have stable vision (no changes in strength of perscription) usually, this means you are in your early 20's or so. There are some limitations on how bad a vision they can fix, because the worse your vision is, the more cornea tissue they have to blast away with the laser and they don't want to wind up drilling a hole right through your cornea, that's why they specify an upper limit on how bad a vision problem they can fix. The reason they are not all that fired up about doing laser vision distance vision correction on people who are 40-ish is that very soon they will be needing reading glasses, so you'll be spending like 3 grand to not wear glasses and then, when you want to read, you'll need to wear glasses! It is very possible, those kinds of issues tend to get worse as you get older, just besure that you keep regular check up with ur optemtrist sometimes your eyes will get worse but not always you will probably stay the same dont worry to much about it from an optician |
