Help please. Hospice Care Questions?

My mother is very ill with COPD/emphysema and just went back to the hospital today. We will want to bring her home from the hospital when she is stable, and we need more help with her home care. Brother taking care of her,but needs relief. We hav an aide come in once/week for respite care relief but really need at least one full day off. Can we get hospice care for her at home?
We already have home helath care aids check on her but they do not provide care relief. She does not qulaify for Medicaid, and becaus is re- hospitalized more than every 60 days, medicare won't cover rehab(we would also prefer home care if we can get assistance)
Do we have to tell her she is dying to get the hospice care(I'm afraid of how she'll respond to this prognosis?)

Yes you can get hospice care for home. If she is still in the hospital talk to the social worker asigned to her case. They will give you all the information you need. I'm sorry for all you are going through.
