What is Hormones imbalance?

I heard that if you are a girl and if your hormones are imbalance you tend to be more boyish while boys are vice versa. So does Hormones imbalance affect your emotion and appearance too? Like girls have a look of a boys face or boy have a look of girls face. Plus how to check if you are hormone imbalance? Because I had too much addition of mustache grown on my face and this is not normal..

Pre-puberty boys and girls have hormones of both sexes. During puberty, the stronger hormone dominates. If for some reason the male hormone- Testosterone- is present in your body in significant quantity, you will develop a moustache or some other male feature. Similarly, presence of estrogens in a male can give them feminine looks.

They can do a blood test. They can test estrogen and testosterone in your blood. There are other hormones also that they can test, LH and FSH are two more in the body. Many of the same hormones in women are found in men in different quantities (and vice cersa) and this is normal.
