Homeopathy... How effective?? Any side effects??

I need to slim down. How homeopathy can help? How different is homeopathy and herbal treatment?

Homeopathy is different than herbal. Herbal remedies believe that the herb itself is going to affect a change.

Homeopathy believes that a very small amount of a tincture is going to do more than a large amount will. Homeopathy had a real following in the late 1800's and you could order a homeopathy kit from catalogs, like Sears. It would come in a small wooden box and contain a number of small bottles of tinctures, labeled with what illness they worked on. The patient would put a few drops into a glass of water and drink it. Many people felt that it worked. During the 1800's, medicine was still very primitive and most treatments probably did more harm than good. Patent medicines often contained chemicals that were harmful. Not to mention leeches :-) Homeopathy, if not effecting a cure, at least didn't do any damage. A lot of people feel that homeopathy works for them. In Oregon, homeopathy tinctures are offered in some grocery stores.

Personally, I think the only way to lose weight is to take in fewer calories than you're using. Eating a healthy diet that's low in fat and heavy on veggies and fruit plus exercise is the only way I know of that really works.

Homeopathy is like anything. You have your good and bad. Most herbal remedies are POORLY regulated and the content is varied. Any remedy that causes to increase your defacation may cause you miss important nutrients and may harm your digestive system in the long term.

if you eat junk and fast food all the time you will be unheathly as if you eat too much of anything.
