Hodgkin鈥檚 disease?

In past I was a patient of Hodgkin鈥檚 disease 1st stage. I gone through Chemotherapy (4 cycles) + radiotherapy (26 settings) after that I recovered & my all reports were positive.
I want to ask after a period of 6 months is it harmful to take alcohol.

No where my husband sought his treatments you could drink alcohol

Do yourself a favor, take the alcohol only in moderation. Your body has been through QUITE an ordeal. Take it easy.

Since you have LITERALLY been born again, why would you need to then pollute your body?

Alcohol is harmful is you are completely healthy. Why on earth would you want to take such a chance for liver damage when the chemo and radiation probably did a number on all your organs.

With such a blessing of a new life, take care to live life to the fullest, not soused in poison.

My brother died many years ago of Hodgkin's disease. I wasn't
born yet, but my parents said, he tried so hard to live. His pictures
shows a handsome young man. He died at 16 years old.
I don't know why when you have been handed such a wonderful
gift of health you even think of alcohol. Get out there and live. Why
for one moment would you want your mind fogged with alcohol?

Please see the webpages for more deails on Hdgkin's lymphoma.

Ask your doctor. He will know how your recovery is going, and if your liver has recovered from the burden of chemotherapy. If you are ready, remember that 1-2 drinks per day may be good for the heart, but any more are likely to produce adverse health effects.

stage 1 hodgkins diseas is cured in more than 90% of cases. U seem to have received aggresive treatment with 4 ccycles of chemo and radiation. watch out for tretment related complication like lung damage, heart problems and increasaed risk of 2nd cancers, down the road.
Regarding alcohol, if you are not an alcoholic then go ahed have a drink and enjoy :))
