..,Hives...?

I went to the doctor this morning because we thought I was allergic to my medication. Well, tehy put me on something else, saying it probably was my medication...Now I have hives again! What can I do to get rid of them???!!!??? IT's spreading like craziie! What do I Do?

Stop taking your meds and take Benedryl right away.

IF you start wheezing or having issues with breathing do not hesitate to go the emergency room.

Cool compresses may help with the itching.

benadryl and zantac may help some. Hopefully your dr gave you some prednisone to help too.

DC(discontinue) the medication and call you doctor as soon as possible. If he or she is unable to help you you may want to contact an allergist.(good luck)If you have Benadryl(diphenhydramine) at home you can take that as well.

Stop the meds first!

benedryl and aveeno baths. you can try calamine lotion as well. make sure you call your dr and get his advice as well.

becareful about dyes in the meds too, my daughter had a reaction to grape soda and to cookies with red sprinkles on them, i gave her benedryl and the hives got worse because all 3 had red dye #40 in them... they make benedryl clear now

let it run its course, and be calm, nerves will make it worse

hives tend to fade away after 2 weeks.
