Do hives blister?

I believe I have hives from an allergic rection and sometimes, when i press down on it, they seem to pop. Do hives blister?

Mine do. Not only do they pop like a blister emitting clear liquid, but then they bruise. My skin also seems hot in the area where the hives are and turns really red. But, I do not have hives caused by an allergic reaction, mine are chronic uticaria due to an auto-immune disorder. (Taking an oatmeal bath or rubbing oatmeal lotion on them will relieve the itchiness.)

Usually they don't. I don't think you have hives. Perhaps you should consult a doctor if it continues.

they can none the less you should be seen by a doc.

Mine do too. I can pop them (like a zit) and clear liquid comes out, just like the person above. This usually happens with a more serious reaction or if I happen to have another minor reaction shortly after a minor reaction. If you don't know what is triggering your reaction you should DEFINITELY go see a doctor and get it checked out. You might also want to take some benadryl.
