Dairy free diet for hives??? |
hi ive had very bad hives since 31st jan (first time ever)... also sore joints, swollen lips, face and eyes at different times, the hives are sometimes severe or not too bad but always there, i take alot of anti histimines which have little effect (but some) and tried cutting out gluten and wheat, which also had little impact... im now going to try cutting out dairy, which is a scary thought as im a veggie and live off jacket potatoes, cheese, mayo, milk, yogurts etc.....i was wondering if anyone else had done a dairy free diet for hives? and what can i eat? i will eat eggs if a have to, but not a fan of them.... is pasta on/off the list?..... any advice is appreciated.... and thanks to those who have answered my questions on this horrible subject before! hi, i did recall a slight sore throat around the time of the hives, but only at night, and i did mention it to the docs but he didnt seemed concerened, they tried to put me on steroids but i didnt want to... ive been beck and fourth, they never mention anything about auto immune, yet ,my dad has had serious thyroid problems and has had his took out... and i was told last year i had borderline underactive thyroid (at the moment i dont suffer with any symptoms of that though).....im in uk, never had asthma or anything like this before, and never had allergies..... My son is allergic to dairy (bad eczema flare up and vomitting). Give it a solid 2 wks before you decide if it is working or not. You should also find an allergist and get tested. Good luck! Report It Well, firstly u don't need to be so defensive in asking the question. It's alright to ask--that's what the forum is for. Gently, my lady. I don't really have any advice for you except that if your Dr. isn't responding to you, find one who will! find a doctor in your area at NAET.com using alternative medicine instead of western medicine which i dont really find that there much of a help since they only mask the symptoms but never cure it. Alternative medicine such as naet will most likely cure it. I dont know if they offer it in UK but u can check. www.NAET.com |
