Hives on Tongue? |
It really doesn't matter what I eat. I always have these hives on my tongue. They get worse when I eat certain things like. If I eat at fast food french fries..My tongue starts swelling and hurts. I am not sure exactly what is causing it. Long John Silvers makes my tongue swell and hurt very badly. Do you have any clue what could be causing this. I went and saw my doc around a year ago when I started noticing this. She said she had never encountered anyone with this issue. I am beginning to wonder if I need to be tested for food allergies. I am allergic to several antibiotics and have always been a little sensitive to all kinds of fabrics, earrings, perfumes, body lotions. I haven't eaten fries at home since I noticed this. I am really bummed out because it seems to occur when I eat my favorite meals. Yes PLEASE get tested and treatment. Hives and swelling could occur in your throat and cut off your breathing. Don't play with this. cool Don't eat don't sleep don't talk Don't breath let's just say don't live Sounds like a food allergy. You should go to an allergist and get tested it could get very dangerous and life threatening eventually! I would guess it might be an allergy to the type of oils they are using in the fryers. Get allergy tested. I thought I was just allergic to cats and penicillin (BTW I have Athsma and Ezema) but they found out I was allergic to My wife has had chronic hives for 30 plus years, but not on the tongue. her family Dr. finally put her on a drug for hay fever. I think it's clariton that she takes, and that helps her a bunch. You might want to go to a specialist and have test run, if you have a food allergies it could be dangerous for you to eat certain things. Well, you definitely have a sensitivity to something. It may not be the food itself, but something that's in it. Especially fast food...that stuff's full of nasty additives. Hard to tell what it might be because there's not enough info in your entry, but I would start by eliminating processed food of any kind. Yeah, I know, it's hard to do, but you'll be able to better assess what's causing it if you simplify your diet. gee,my heart goes out to you i too get hives, but my hives are caused by a drug allergy i think youve got food allergies.im also fragrance senstive, and i have seasonal allergies. Sounds to me like you may be allergic to the oil they cook the fries in. |
