Hives--do they leave behind a mark? |
I took amoxicillin for the full 10 days...and on day 11 got hives. Nothing serious, they weren't very bad, not too itchy...but they were there. Well, this is now day 3 of having them. They didn't move around much and now they won't go away! The skin isn't raised anymore but there's red, flat spots where they used to be that vary from almost faded to (after my luke-warm shower) BRIGHT red--almost purple--again. And then they fade..but they're never completely gone!! Do I just wait it out? They're not bothersome at all...not itchy, not dry, not scaly, they feel just like skin...they're just...there. And I wake up and they're STILL there... Help?? They aren't itchy anymore--not scratching them at all. They weren't very itchy to start out with, as they weren't very bad. The places that won't fade are the fronts of my thighs and the backs of my arms--the places they had been worse when the hives were bumped up. you had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics, i, myself am highly allergic to any form or penicillin. hi, if you add it to apple juice, it is a lot more palatable..good luck Report It Only if you keep scratching at them, when they may leave a scar. Only if you scratch them to the point where they leave a scar. no they normally just go away with a topical cream. |
