Hives - come and go after eating?

I ate some popcorn the other night, and within 2 hours had the hives on my arms. (I had popcorn at the same establishment a week before, w/no hives.) Now, for the past couple of days, the hives come after most meals, mostly localized to my arms, and are completely gone in about three hours. I can't figure out a common food element (after popcorn, turkey sandwich, chicken ramen, chicken burrito, they've come). I don't feel particularly stressed, or hot, or cold. Nothing has really changed from the past, so I'm at a loss as to where these could be coming from... the only common denominator is that they occur after I eat. It's like I'm allergic to eating.

You must have some sort of shared ingredient in your food, such as an oil of some sort. Do not handle this situation on your own, as allergies progress, they get worse, and become life threatening, go to your primary care physician, and get a refferal to an allergist, if you do not already have one, and get stamp tested to find out what it is that you are allergic to. Best of luck!

There has to be a common ingredient in the food you are eating, like maybe a color additive or salt or something. Benedryl relieves itching for hives. Good luck and do not quit eating!

it's something you're eating

Popcorn at most establishments uses additives, and there are probably chemicals in the other food that you are eating. Look at the ingredients to see which are in common, and try eliminating them from your diet.

There is a common ingredient in all those foods that is causing you to be allergic. You may have to goto an Allergy clinic to get tested. I have the exact same problem when I eat anything chocolate.
