Can eating oranges cause hives? |
Husband gets hives frequently and I'm wondering if the hives can be caused by eating oranges. Anything can cause hives (an allergic reaction) if you are allergic to it. It is also possible that if too much of something is eaten at one time, your body will react to it. If you have an allergy to them. YEP Possibly as it is an allergic reaction. I doubt the oranges are the cause. Many medications are. Ibuprofen is a common over-the-counter medication that can cause hives (urticaria). Best to see your doctor and try and get to see a dermatologist. sounds like an allergy to Vitamin C to me. I had one when I was a kid. Oranges were the worst, but it happened when I would eat anything with vitamin C in it. Lucky me I grew out of it. If it's really bad get it checked out. |
