What is the disease histoplasmosis? We had a pediatric patient with that. She had pneumonia that wasn't going away with antibiotics. It turned out that it was a fungal infection she got from visiting a zoo where she could feed the birds. The docor said it was called Histoplasmosis and that the birds were the carrier.
