Non Calcified Lung Nodules? |
I am a 35 year old female with no history of smoking, other than second hand smoke from my parents when I was a child. For 2 years now I have had 4 very tiny non calcified lung nodules. Histoplasmosis (sp?) was expected but the lung specialist said that they would calcify if this is what they were caused from. He also said they are too small to biopsy. Can you tell me what is usually done when nodules continue to not calcify? And if they are too small to biopsy? So far I have had ct scans every 6 months, with the same results. To reassure you, in my experience, your follow up care sounds pretty standard. This is what I found from the experts: As long as the nodules are too small to biopsy and they remain uncalcified, you will just follow the same course of action as you are following now: ct scans every 6 months. The purpose of the scans is to monitor the status of the nodules. Each status quo scan is very good news. The RN is correct. Any lesion in the lungs that are small and not growing are typically benign and will remain as such. Again, the repeat CTs will look for any changes in them. If they detect any changes, they may want to biopsy at that time. |

Fresh bird poo CAN contain disease so you should always treat it as if it did. Meaning don't touch it or get so close that you're breathing near it. ...OMG Too funny. It's a widespread myth that having a bird "poop" on you will bring you good luck. It didn't seem to have brought you much luck! Lol.!! I do think your addition... |
