My Mom will have hip replacement surgery.Where does one get a hip prosthesis? |
Since my Mom worked as a doctor in the government for 25 years, this operation will not cost her much. She needs to just get the prosthesis for the hip replacement. I heard it costs P100,000. Where can I get this? I heard Johnson and Johnson sells knee prosthesis. Do they sell for the hips too? Thanks. There are several manufacturers of hip prostheses. Your surgeon & hospital will take care of procuring the hardware to be used in your mother. They can cost upwards of 2,000 USD. Some of the mfrs are:Biomet, Smith & Nephew; DePuy, to name a few. Not something you can just order in.......she will have to check through her surgeon and/or medical suppliers. It will have to be fitted. |
