Have you had a hip replacement and it popped out? |
I had a hip replacement 1 year ago and I exercise regularly in the pool. I'm afraid of doing anything more., Would like to go dancing (fast). Is this unwise? How long has it been since you had the replacement done? I would check with my doctor first. The main thing is you need to make sure you do not fall or in any way pull any muscles. I have had my hip replacement for sometime now. I do as I so wish unless pain occurs. I do many things just as I did before! I would do as you so wish, if dancing is one of them then get after it! I dont think fast dancing would hurt it..I would be scared to do any intense stretching or something like that but you definetly should be able to dance...ask your surgeon who did your replacement to be sure... One of my hip replacement patients does salsa dancing. It will depend why you had the hip replaced and how it feels now. It might be worth talking to a phyiso. |
