What is the cost of hip replacement surgery?

I am willing to travel abroad for hip joint replacement. Can anybody suggest me something.

Two of my patients got hip surgery in India through one company called forerunners healthcare. One was a candidate for total hip replacement and the other was a candidate for hip resurgacing.
Both are doing extremely fine since 1 year.

I strongly recommend you to get your hip surgery in India. You will save lots of money.Orthopaedic surgery is very cheap in India. This company is very famous in India that arranges orthopaedic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as all surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your hip surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin also got her knee replacement surgery for in India through the forerunners healthcare .SHe is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 25% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company.hope this helps

It cost Depending on the Surgeon and Hospital Between 45 Thousand and 60 Thousand Dollars.

free. on the NHS

My aunt is planning to have one in Paris, and the doctor said that it will cost her 15,000.- 鈧?

I have no idea about the actual cost, but I know for a fact that there facilities in India that will do it for a fraction of the same procedure in the USA. The ironic thing is that most of the doctors there are trained in the USA. A friend had both knees done, the cost of transportation, post care, and rehab, including hotel and living expenses, for less than one half of having it done here.

Don't listen to the first poster; he doesn't know what he is talking about. The cost is signficantly less, assuming the surgery has no complications. Secondly, DON'T even think about going overseas to have any type of surgery done. We have the very best medicine has to offer right here in the USA.

There have been recent reports about people going to India for surgeries that cost WAY less than here in the US. If you think about it, most of our docs here are Indian anyways... you can pay 4-5 thousand for a surgery there that might cost you 15-25 thousant here. Hip, I would guess to be 10-15 thousand.
