What is the quickest way to get hip replacement surgery in Australia? |
My uncle has recently been told that he needs a hip replacement. He has been told that there is a 2 year wait to get onto the public waiting list, and then a further wait to have the surgery (He lives in Melboune) Has he considered "medical tourism"? Some uninsured Americans travel abroad to have expensive medical procedures such as joint replacements for a fraction of their cost at home. If he is desperate, he could consider India or Thailand.
