Advice and experiences re pregnancy with replacement hip?

I'm a 31 year old woman waiting 2 have a replacement hip and once recovered would ideally like to have another child, but wonder what the advice is re this and if anybody can tell me about their experiences etc. Thank you.

You need to ask your Dr. I've had Knee and Hip replacement's
My hip was five years ago, At times I still have pain....You have alot of down time after the surgery....Learning to walk again is not fun...plus your gonna be taking alot of medication's.....It takes a long time for your body to readjust.... Neither surgery was a good experience....but if you really need it, you have no choice.
Good Luck to you....

I think a scheduled C-Section would be recommended. Also in the latter part of the pregnancy I would limited time on your feet, to avoid the added weight causing further hip damage.

i think you should be OK but i wouldn't really speak to your Dr as we don't really know the answer Hun

For this answer you really need to have a good chat with your doctor as they can explain the pros and cons with you i personaly think they will try to talk you out of having a child. but at the end of the day its your choice and i hope all goes well for you good luck

see your doctor

Get in touch with the Natural childbirth trust ! They have a lot of info !
Good luck !
