Modified Work out for hip injury.?

I have multiple stress fractures in both my hips and it makes many workouts very difficult. Especially thigh workouts. I am very flexible with my hips and can do about a half hour on a treadmill before they hurt. But I can only do about 5 squats before they do.

Does anyone know anything that will do the same job as squats and similar excersises that are easier on the hip bones?

The injury happened about 4 years ago, but didn't really heal right. My doctor is encouraging me to build up my hip muscles, which I have. But I still get pain very easily with other workouts that work the joint a lot. I do yoga.

The hip muscles aren't the problem it is try to workout connected areas.

What you really need to do is lay off the workouts for awhile - continuing to exercise is going to prevent the fractures from healing and/or make them worse.

If you do decide to keep working out, go for something low-impact. If you can do yoga, I highly recommend it. I suffered from a pelvic stress fracture that took three years to heal, mainly because I didn't stop working out. (I was in the Army, so I couldn't exactly *choose* to stop.) Once I left the service and stopped running, I started doing yoga and walking, and I've found that my hips and thighs have never felt/looked so good.

I still have occasional pain where the fracture occurred, but it's not nearly as bad as it was when I was running every day.

My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product which I think helps a lot in the process. I recommend you check this website
http://www.greatpop.info , they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling. Good luck!
