Hip/Groin Injury? |
I tore my groin muscle about 7 months ago and it still hurts. i rested for about 3 months and it got better, but now its back. I went to the orthopedic doctor and now they say i have snapping hip syndrom. I am a soccer player, but he said that i could play on it. He also gave me a perscription for physical therapy that starts in a couple of days. So the story goes that all my muscles are tight in the upper thigh area, and i need to be stretched out. There are 3 types of snapping hip - external, internal, and intra-articular. Yes, there are surgeries available. Have a read through this article that specifically deals with each type of snapping hip, it's impact on sports and how it can be corrected: |
