Help with hip flexor injury...SUPER FRUSTRATED!?

Ok... A couple weeks ago I was running a route at football practice and all of a sudden I felt something weird in my hip. The trainor said that it was probably my hip flexor. The pain wasnt bad so I kept going. Now its two weeks later and I can barely lift my knee enough to get my pants on. It seems to be fine through the day but every so often it will go out. Is there anything I can do to help it out other than ice and ibuprofen? Would a hip spica wrap help? Is there any meds/painkillers I could take to get over it (I live in Canada so it wont cost anything to go to the doctor)?...

P.S. Im not even sure it is my hip flexor. All I can tell you is that it hurts to lift my knee more than a foot off the ground and it hurts to explode into a sprint.

yea im a swimmer, and yes i have had the same problem...all i can say is stretch it...where you put the front leg out straight, and back leg, in the back and straight, and lean back.
then heat it before any physical activity, and ice it after any

good luck
