SI joint, Back or Hip Injury?

i have been out of work for 13 months after slipping on soap. went to the er and they said I chipped my hip. MRI revealed buldging disks from L2-S1, radial tear L5-S1 and possible pinched nerve. Have tried epidural, cortisone injections, therapy, acupuncture, chiro. No true relief from anything and surgeons said they would not touch my back. I was released from medical care and am looking for any help out there.

all I want to do is be able to work and live my life. I was released because my doc doesn't know her *** from a hole in the ground. She is supposed to be a non sugical doctor and was the only one who wanted me to have surgery

work comp is ****** up and has sent me to over 10 doctors who cannot agree with one another and I have to suffer

Back surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her Spine surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 25 % of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange spine surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as Spine and other orthopedic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

You probably wouldn't like me saying that only an orthopedic surgeon can answer your question about whether or not you need hip or back surgery.

However, like the first poster mentioned, hip and back surgeries are both safe these days. And if you want to get yourself fixed for cheap at a good quality hospital then you should really consider going overseas. Just a couple of months back my sister had her birmingham hip resurfacing done in India and she is very happy with the reaults. It has improved her life tremendously. And the best part is she got it done at only a fraction of the cost in the US.

She didn't even have to bother herself with finding the right hospital and the right surgeons. She hooked up with a medical tourism facilitator called Healthbase (http://www.healthbase.com) and they did the job for her. They connected her to an orthopedic surgeon who assessed her condition and prescribed her treatment. Then Healthbase arranged her medical itinerary and did everything else that was needed. She even got her medical loan approved through their website.

Hope that helps you!
