Hip pain from sports injury help? |
i hurt my hip well over 2 months ago playing volleyball it hurt ReAlLy bad i have a high thresh hold for pain . it is deep in side my hip it is like an achy feeling from 1 -10 like 4 if iv been sitting over 2 hours like 6 there is pain 24-7 it wakes me up at night. i saw my docter about 2 weeks after i did it and i went through 1 month of PT it got way better but the stopped getting better. i cant sit long or lie on that side or it gets way worse. my PT said he thought i sprained or torn my hip flexer and other deep tissues. what do you think it could be cause that was a geuss he said. and how do i make it better. im 15 years old and very active but uch less so now due to pain If the pain is on the outer side of your hip (not in the groin or back) then it's probably bursitis. This is generally treated with ultrasound, stretches to your hip muscles and IT band, and strengthening. If you tore some of your hip muscles, they should be healed by now and the treatment of stretching/strengthening is still appropriate. If you truly have a high thresh hold for pain read and apply this http://www.helium.com/tm/148271 because to fix your problem permanently will require a bunch of discomfort. |
