Horrible pain in lower back/hip/butt...help!? |
for the last 3 months ive been feeling this acute pain in the right side of my lower back/hip/butt area. i cant pinpoint whether its coming from my back, hip or butt, but its from one single location. if i had to choose one, i would say its my butt. i can usually walk without pain except with a slight limp but when i try to jump or run it hurts horribly and whenever i try to push off of my right side it just gives way and i stumble and it hurts really bad. im 20 years old and play a varietys of sports including football and soccer goalkeeper, so theres a chance its from diving or getting hit but i have no recollection of any one thing that happened that would have caused it. ive been hurt here and there for the last 6-7 years from sports but never in that area. since it started hurting 3 months ago i have not been able to play any sports or even jog. ive played through pretty much every other injury ive had but this one is killing me...can anyone tell me what it is? It sounds like sciatica and you may need an injection from the doctor and some physio. The GP will also offer you some anti-inflammatory tablets for pain relief. Sounds like sciatica to me. Your sciatic nerve runs down thru your back, your hips, both sides of your bum, down your legs, all the way to your feet. You've irritated your sciatic nerve somehow...I would go to the doctor and see what can be done about it. I know that it's very painful; my mom had that for a number of years. Hope you feel better! Go to a Chiropractor - they are the best type of doctor to go to for sciatica. I had the same problem, went to all kinds of doctors and got no relief, finally went to a chiropractor and he fixed the problem 100% in 1 visit. It was like a miracle. sciatica, thats wat it sounds like. Carefully do this: stand up, put your right hand on th highest part of your right hip bone at the side of your body with your thumb pointing down, now push your thumb down into your buttock, if at this point you have extreem pain its probabl sciatic nerve pain. Really dig your thumb into the pain spot there and rub for 5 minutes, it will feel realy good afterwards. i do that as soon as i get some pain and it feels really good/bad. It could be an impact injury to your lower spine causing the pain to radiate to the areas you describe. I think you should see a sports physiotherapist for treatment. well it may mimic the symptoms of sciatica but according to me it is more of a Sacroiliac joint problem, Go to doctor, might be your kidneys! |
