I was born with acongenitial hip disorder called hip dysplsia any one know if it can be passed on?

i was born with a genetic hip disorder and i was wanting to ask if some one knew or knows if it can be passed to my kids should i choose to become a father i have tried to search and find out but dont know where to look any help would be nice thank you

"Congenital" means "with the genes". Genes pass on information about YOU to your kids. Short answer is yes it can be passed on. That's how you got it.
Do a little research into your family's traits in this area. If it's a recessive trait, your bride will have to also pass this gene on for it to emerge in any children. The particular sperm that "wins the race" may not have that gene, either.
If this dysplasia is evident in a number of your family members, it probably raised the likelihood of you passing it on.
I am NOT a geneticist, human or otherwise. Someone like that would be the best source for guesstimating the odds of passing it on.

Yes it can be passed on. People with serious genetic disease often do genetic testing after invitro fertilization to make sure the embryo doesn't have the disease/disorder. However it can be expensive and you will have to look at your own morals and ethics to determine if you think it's something you want to do. ('Killing' off the 'bad' embryos)
