Hey Boomers! What are your aches and pains?

As a former flower child in the late '60's, I never thought for one second that I would become a regular "shipwreck" as I grew older. I am now being treated for: Weird bone disorder (had 60 fractures) 4 surgeries on left leg/hip in 2006: irregular heart beat, inherited from my Dad. We have matching pacemakers. Carpal tunnel in both wrists (just had surgery on one); hearing loss; peripheral neuropathy; a bunch of sleep disorders; chronic depression (in remission); Monoclonal gammopathy (It's a blood problem that could turn into bone marrow cancer in the future.) "Good" ol' osteoarthritis all over the place; and a whole slew of other minor medical problems.

So what wonderful medical problems do YOU have that have crept into your life?

I remember thinking I'd never be able to nap in the middle of the day...huh!
I find myself constantly saying, "what?" to everyone( I think they're all talking softer).
If there are any misspelled words you'll have to forgive me, my memory isn't what it used to be ( the other day I forgot the word 'car') and even if it were misspelled and I knew it I can no longer see the words without my glasses (I think print is getting smaller)

LOL

Gee I really sorry to hear that you have so many problems with your heath. Noww,to answer the question, other than needing my gasses chaned ever so often,& the normal colds, flu & allergies ,none.

not a baby boomer as my name might suggest. yes I have my share of medical problems. Knee surgery, asthma/sinus problems, astigmatism (wear glasses), missing left arm below the elbow (auto accident) which I wear a prosthesis.
all this and I'm not even 40

Well...will try to not write a book!
Diagnosed at 30 somthing with fibro before anyone had ever heard of it. Sleeping problems and ached all the time with tender points.
Over the years..am 56 now..I have been pretty well and controlled with the fibro. Have developed degenerative joint disease..OA in hands, hips, spine. 4 years ago had hip replacement. Since then developed muscle weakness in left leg and exercise intolerance, balance probs, extreme fatique. Went to neuro and they did lumbar puncture three times that showed oligoclonal bands in csf only. This shows Central nervous system inflammation but no MS leisons have ever shown on many MRI..so no diagnoses of ms. All blood work for ruling out everything else is neg. No lupus, lyme d, neg ANA and RA. I am extemely tired but no cancer has ever shown up either. I have an palpations and am on a beta blocker. Have a very small amount of atherosclerosis. Have GERD, pain in wrists, toes, feet, hands, shoulders, hips, neck, sensorneural hearing loss...wear glasses, can't remember words sometimes..am not as quick as I used to be..this ageing thing is for the pits!! and the list goes on. I try to be as active as possible but had to retire from dental asst 6 years ago. Am overweight but not too much. Stay active with grandchildren and gardening as much as possible. Dizzy sometimes. There is more but I won't bore you!
Maybe now you won't feel so bad about your health..lol! I graduated from hs in 1969 with flowers in my hair...
