after i eat junk food i jst feel depressed and wish i didnt. i no im not fat, but i no im not like a model. and thats what i wanna be like.
am i getting a eatting disorder or jst obsessed wit weight???

The two go hand in hand. It has to do with self esteem. Get this book and find a more fulfilling life: http://www.seekwellness.com/bookstore/bo...

honey, nobody looks like models, not even models, really, they have teams of people to make 'em look like that (and airbrushed pics). making yourself throw up is VERY dangerous, and you do sound like you're heading towards an eating disorder. talk to a counselor or somebody else you trust.

you're going to starve to death!

That doesn't really sound like an eating disorder. You won't get fat if you eat healthy food and exercise a few times a week (5 times a week for half an hour is best). If you eat junk food every now and then, who cares?

This happens with ALOT of girls just being so insecure thinking that they need to look like the FAKE girls in magazines. Girls are actually NATURALLY supposed to be curvy, its in your hormones, and curves are sexy :)

Skin and bones is GROSS, don't EVER think you have to skip meals or throw up to lose weight. Eat 3 HEALTHY meals every day otherwise you'll just binge on junk food because you're starving.

It doesn't sound like a matter of an eating disorder, but an underlining problem mentally. I am not being mean here so, forgive me if it sounds that way. Most problems are deeper inside of the mind. It may have come on from comments being made to you, or an event that happened. I would suggest speaking to a counsler and getting advice to help you through this tough time in your life.

i do the same thing.
im a tiny little thing. im 95 pounds and 15 but im not a stick.
i have curves and big thighs.
sometimes if i know im gonna hang out with boys one day..i wont eat all day so i look skinnier.
i don't think you necessarly have a problem..you just want to lose weight and you want to lose it fast.
so just exercise more and understand that weight doesn't come off rapidly..it takes time and if you eat the right things then reward yourself with some junk food cause a girl always needs her junk sometimes. don't worry. just don't let it get serious

It doesn't sound like you have a eating disorder yet. You just want to be extremely skinny, which unfortunately the models you use as examples. They are way too skinny and that is hard to get and stay at that weight. It is healthier to be fit and at your healthy weight, not a toothpick. You need to change your mindset to healthy and not thin as a rail-that is really not that healthy.

Most experts believe that it takes a combination of things to develop an eating disorder 鈥?including a person's genes, emotions, and behaviors (such as eating patterns) learned during childhood.

Some people may be more prone to overeating because of biological reasons. For example, the hypothalamus (the part of the brain that controls appetite) may fail to send proper messages about hunger and fullness. And serotonin, a normal brain chemical that affects mood and some compulsive behaviors, may also play a role in binge eating.

In most cases, the unhealthy overeating habits that develop into binge eating start during childhood, sometimes as a result of eating habits learned in the family. It's normal to associate food with nurturing and love. But some families may overuse food as a way to soothe or comfort. When this is the case, kids may grow up with a habit of overeating to soothe themselves when they're feeling pressured because they may not have learned healthier ways to deal with stress. Some kids may grow up believing that unhappy or upsetting feelings should be suppressed and may use food to quiet these emotions.

Both guys and girls can have eating disorders. Anorexia and bulimia appear to be more common among girls. But binge eating seems to be just as likely to affect guys as girls.

It's hard to know just how many teens may have a binge eating problem. Because people often feel guilty or embarrassed about the out-of-control eating, many don't talk about it or seek help
