I need help...? |
I think I have an eatting disorder. I am 21 yrs. old, 5'2, and weigh 122. Everywhere I go (docs, BMI calculators) everyone says I look fine and I am in a very healthy weight range for my hieght, but when I look in the mirror, all I see is a morbidly obese person. I don't eat a lot and when I do, I usually make myself throw it up. I am sick of no matter how much weight I lose, I always feel fat! I don't want to make myself unhealthy because of this. I am scared to tell anyone. I cry when I look in the mirror because of how fat I think I look. I weigh myself constantly as messure my waist and hips around five times a day. What do I need to do to see my body as ok and overcome this? Please help; I am scared. Please help; I have no idea what to do about this... You are on the right track. I believe you realize that you have a false perception of your body. We all have many perceptions of ourselves and they are susceptible to great error. There are other ways to gage ones body and they are less susceptible to error. If you set fitness goals for yourself they can help you evaluate your physical fitness and help you to correctly see the beauty of your body. Being able to finish a 5/10K race or perhaps attending a yoga class for a certain time period is a great feeling. To set a similar goal and complete it allows you to see that you can make improvements in your body. Remember that this goal has nothing to do with your body shape or size . This has to do with seeing the potential your body has and changing this false perception you have of yourself. Because of your eating habits you should consult a doctor before establishing and working towards a physical goal. A proper diet is important. Most importantly is that you realize that this perception is only that ....a perception. Change is possible and many women have made that change. May prayers are with you as you grow to see the beauty you have. if you are not happy with your weight go out and excrsie ang go on and diet and eat heathley try to figure out the source of your inconfidence. i know how you feel. you dont need to lose weight but if you feel you need to then you need to do it healthily without throwing it up. i would join a gym or hire a personal trainer and educate your self on healthy eating. you can lose probably 10 pounds and still be healthy. im not saying that i think you should lose weight but me having been in the same boat as you before, you probably dont want to hear,"oh your fine your perfect, blah blah blah...) so talk to someone , make a eating plan wiht alot of healthy foods , find an active activity that you enjoy. oh and right now i dont care if you think its stupid , just do it: write down 10 things you like about yourself anything . and start talking to people close to you honestly you will feel alot better. well i hope i helped take care <3 You have to do some exercises (regularly) to make your muscles tight 鈥?you wont feel fat then |
