Will I get an eating disorder?

Ok, I'm a 14 year old girl. I weigh 100 pounds. I am about 5' 1". My waist is 24". My but is 34". My hips are 32". My bust is 33". Each of my thighs are 17" around. I feel so fat. I wear a size 0 but I feel obese. This past summer I went on a diet and lost over 15 pounds. I went from a size 4 to a size 0. I always am told that I am skinny, but when I look in the mirror I feel very wide. Please, since I gave my measurments, please try to imagine my size and tell me if I need to continue my diet. I started a diet and lost 2 pounds so far. I don't know If I really need it. I'm afraid that I'll become anorexic or bulimic because I have considered throwing up or starving myself

Just the fact that you know all of those measurements and are obsessing about it tells me something is wrong. You sound very slender, but the thing you need to focus on is being HEALTHY. Skinny doesn't always equal healthy. As long as you get regular exercise and eat healthy, well rounded, fresh foods (not pre processed), you will be fine. Stop stressing so much and enjoy being a teenager!

You measurements are almost exactly like mine, but I'm 5'5 and weigh a little more than you. When I was your age (I'm 20 now) I worried about the same things, heck I still worry about how I look. I know that it is hard to see for yourself, but you are very thin. I haven't weighed 100 pounds since I was 11 years old! You wear a size 0.. that is a sure indication that you are tiny.

I'm afraid that you are developing an eating disorder. There is one called EDNOS. This is when you have anorexic (or another disorder) tendencies but don't fit all of the criteria. However, EDNOS can be just as dangerous as anorexia or bulimia. There are numerous health risks associated with eating disorders. It would be a good idea to talk to your mom or someone else that you trust.

So, my opinion is that you don't need to be on a diet. Just try to eat healthy foods and drink water indstead of soda.

You are in danger of developing an eating disorder if you have considered throwing up or starving yourself. If you wear a size 0 then you are not overweight, and if you starve yourself you could risk death if your muscle and fat quantities are not high enough. Just eat healthily and frequently and you shouldn't have a problem gaining weight. Remember- if you starve yourself, then when you DO eat, your body will cling to the calories and you will put on more weight in the form of fat rather than muscle as your body thinks there is a shortage or food (ie famine.) Also, muscle weighs heavier than fat! peak to someone about your issues before they become a problem that takes over your life.Good luck!
