Does hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) cause problems with diabetes?

i have had HS for ten years now not badly but not a lot of anibiotics work on me and i have just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes i take metformin and lisinopril for blood pressure at the mo i am also taking clindamycin for the HS as i have had an abcess for 18wks now a lot of HS sufferers are embarassed by this disease but i'm not i am probebly cleaner in my hygiene than most people what worries me is the infection bit to do with diabetes i have asked my doctor but the does'nt know much about HS in fact not many people have herd of it but i hope one of you good people on this site can help i have tried all the HS sites and Diabetes sites with no answers as yet so i'm really hoping that dr frank reads this and knows some answers as im very worried about it

it is a chronic condition and it will take diabetics longer to heal the areas then normal people======================
