Does anyone out there have hidradenitis suppurativa?

if so what can you do to ease the pain and get rid of it when antibiotics do not work? I have not had a flair up in about 2 years and now i can't get it to go away any suggestions

I was given the advice of putting vick's vapor rub on the area. It helps drain the area and dull some of the pain. I bought some but I have not had an "episode" yet.

Also do a search on Yahoo Answers for listing of all HS questions and see if there are any other remedies.

I know how bad it can hurt so you are in my prayers.

The moment you see one develop, slather Neosporin on it. It will shrink it down to nothing before it gets any bigger. I get them in my groin all the time. Right now I have a 3inch open wound that I have been using Silver Sulfadiazine Cream. It is the only thing that works for me.
