Has anyone taken Accutane for Hidradenitis Suppurativa? If so, what were your results? |
Has anyone taken Accutane for Hidradenitis Suppurativa? If so, what were your results? I have HS and have had since I was 10 and am now 27. I was told by my current dermatologist that I could try Accutane for HS but he wouldn't recommend it because it has serious side effects and has not been proven to work. I have already had 3 major surgeries for HS that were unsuccessful and made the decision not to torment my body even more with accutance...Hope this helps. When I was 15 I got treated by taking accutane. It didn't do anything... but it is different for everyone. I've heard though that accutane can prevent wounds from healing so if you have any open wounds, I don't think it's a good idea. Report It |
