Is there a cure for hidradenitis suppurativa? Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic, relapsing, suppurative cicatrizing disease occurring in the apocrine follicles. It is not curable if your diagnosis is definitive for hidradenitis suppurativa. However the disease can be managed. If the patient smokes cigarettes they need to quit since quitting sometimes helps with the hidradenitis suppurativa. This is like a severe form of acne near sebaceous glands. There is no cure, but if caught early the symptoms can be managed. |
