I have herpes simplex I and II: I haven't had sex in five years...? |
I was diagnosed with Herpes I and II: I haven't had in five years. When I was diagnosed in 1993, I didn't know I had it then as I never had any outbreaks. I haven't had any outbreaks in five years except maybe for a thing on my lip more than five years ago. I am in love and Catholic and male and hetersexual and horny but I would slice off my penis if I knew I would give this woman herpes for life. What are the chances I could give her this? Are they any perscription medications or over the counter medications I could take until we start having sex in a few months? See and Dr. & get medicine. Valtrex is a common herpes medication. It can reduce the number of outbreaks. Man haven't you seen the commercial? It's on all the time! If you are taking a herpes medication then you and her can have sex with a condom. You shouldn't have sex if you are having an outbreak. As long as she knows you have herpes & you are taking care of it and being responsible the two of you can have a long happy love life. :) There is no way of telling. Many times you can transmit the disease without outwardly demonstrating the signs. Since you seem to sincerely care about this girl, you should explain your situation to her as well. If she feels as close to you as you do to her it will work out with proper caution and protection. You also should be wearing a condom, since, it is apparent you are not married to the girl and, besides passing on the disease, pregnancy can carry just as disastrous a result of inconsiderate behavior.. |
