Herpes Simplex 1??

There is like a red pimple right in the crease between my top and bottom lip. it kind of hurts and it has gotten bigger over a couple days. i have never kissed anyone and i dont share food or drinks with people..can this be herpes? i dont know exactly what it looks like...it looks like the might be another "pimple" coming off of it but im not sure.

i have never had anything like this before i never get acne and rarely get pimples..wouldnt i have to be in contact with someone with herpes recently for me to get signs? if i do will it get like the people in pictures and movies where it is like all around their face?

It most likely is.

You don't have to kiss anyone to get simplex 1. It's one of the most common...and contagious...viruses out there. More than 90% of the population is infected with it.

There is no reason for concern. Get some Abreva and apply it to the cold sore several times a day until it heals.

Your Grandma could have kissed you on the cheek when you were a baby and you could have gotten it that way. Most people are exposed in childhood. I have it...so do millions...and I do mean millions...of other people. You will get cold sores from time to time. Just treat them and you'll be fine.

You can find Abreva at any drug store. It's effective.

Well it can be a cold sore .You can get them any where in your mouth.I had one in the crease of my bottome gums so try washing your mouth out w/ peroxide.

Almost everyone has herpes type 1. Just make sure you don't perform oral sex on anyone while you have a cold sore, because it can be transmitted to their genital area.

No one here is qualify to answer your question. This is yahoo answers not yahoo doctors. This is a stupid little community where people come just to past the time of day until supper is ready. Go to a real Doctor!!
