Go to the doc and get a prescription for Famvir or Valtrex. Both are antivirals for HSV. Do not pick the lesion. It can scar.
HSV is usually recurrant as in incurrable. However, I have noticed from experience that I get cold sores a lot less often than I used to before I was put on Valtrex. Also, be careful the virus can be transferred to genitals.
Its a very common and bothersome virus. Most often breakouts are on the lips unless its type 2 which is veneral and as you know it can come out anywhere on the skin.

Herpes simplex is common coldsore dont panic

Herpes simplex is the virus that causes cold sores. Once it homesteads your body, you have it. Lysine supplement (its an amino acid--protein) somehow keeps it under control.

Facts: It can not be cured
Fact: Outbreaks (which is what your having) can be controlled to a point.

Valtrex is the med your doctor will put you on. I'm surprised he or she didn't already. It is contagious.

Please visit the website below, it is related to herpes skin disorders.

i guess it is curable... just see a doctor, he can help you with this. Antivirals will get rid of it, given the right treatment and with strict compliance on the doctor's prescription.

herpes can only be contracted from skin to skin contact with
an open sore, you may have contracted it during a dance class
or wrestling or some kind of activity where the other person
was wearing very thin fabric and your leg came in contact with
their open sore. www.neveranoutbreak.com will surley cure you,
I've tried it myself , I swear it works, forget about valtrex it is not
a cure and may even make you sick in the long run.
