Do most people carry the herpes simplex virus that causes cold sores?

Is it possible to get a cold sore on your forehead? How do yo know its a coldsore and not a pimple?

I have never heard of a "cold sore" on a forehead.

Pimples have a single raised center. Cold sores have multiple vesicles. Pimples aren't contagious unless they are infected. Cold sores are contagious ..... and usually a sign of underlying illness coming on.

any dummie can tell the difference between a cold sor and a pimple. A oimple will come to a head or have a yellow top on it. A cold sore will start as a small blister

ALL people carry the herpes simples virus. If the virus causes a sore above the waist, it is called Hepes Simplex I. If is causes a sore below the waist, it is called Herpes Simplex II. The same virus causes both cold sores and genital outbreaks. It is dormant in the body until you encounter stress, and that usually triggers the outbreak. Treat the sores with camphor - it burns like hell, but it heals much faster.

For the most part the cold sores remains like a rash.
But you can not rule out your pimple is a herpes variation either.
It seem I saw some boils listed as the (H.bug what ever).
As a mater of my belief, Herpes is the Trashcan name for most anything THEY can't really identify or cure.

It won't live on your forehead .....stop worryin' !!!!!!!
