How much heroin do you need to snort to cause an overdose?

Now, just to point out. I don't want to use, this is just a question of curiosity. I might be writing a story soon of a girl not injecting but snorting heroin, but gets an overdose. I just need to know how much can get to that point. Or the amount that's safe. I understand it sometimes depends on how our body functions, age, weight, height, etc. but approximately how much heroin would it take for anybody? Without mixing with any other drug.

i think it just depends on the person, i dont think theres a certain amount cuz it effects everyone differently.

Depends on how cut / pure it is, and if they've grown tolerant of it..
average ld50 with pure uncut heroine is believed to be between 200-800mg for a first time user, higher for someone whos used it in the past..

It also depends on how often you "use". There is a tolerance built up over time which causes the user to have to take more to get the same effect.

Then there is the "quality" of the heroin and the amount it has been adulterated with stuff like milk sugar.

Body weight is a factor, and the frequency of doses, such as every 15 minutes or every other day.

So, to answer your question, it depends on a number of factors. Isn't there something more positive you could be writing about such as brain tumors or playing with matches?
