What does heroin feel like?

I A lot of people I went to school with are getting into heavy drugs (I'm not... I got over my partying days without ever trying heroin, crack or any phsycadellics) I just want to know if anyone can tell me their experiences with heroin... is it really that great of a feeling? Those that have told me say that it's the best feeling they have ever felt in their entire lives. I just can't really imagine that... like a weightless feeling of inner peace? If it really makes you feel so so good in such a great way then why does it turn around and make you feel so horrible and debilitaiting both physically and mentally? What is the feeling that keeps one coming back for more? Is it a euphoria like no other? A boy I went to high school with recently died from a heroine overdose ( I didn't know him that well)
If heroine wasn't bad for you, would the mental/emotional "high" it gives you be one of a user's best experiences? I don't get it. Does it make you feel creative, or beautiful, or perfect?

I looked at the other questions regarding this topic and didn't really get the answer I was looking for. I've done drugs before and none of them made me feel so unbelievably euphoric as the way people describe the high of heroin... I just thought someone could explain it to me.

Your basically talking about a great high.

Drugs actually simulate natural highs your body is capable of experiencing on its own.

Whether you jump out of an airplane or take a hit of speed, both will release the same endorphins in your bloodstream and give you essentially the same rush. Heroin simulates the afterglow of an intense orgasm.

The difference with drugs, is that you can take them in sufficient amounts and purity, so they keep these highs going longer and stronger, than if they were created naturally. Plus, they are easy to get and very convenient.

One of the two major problems with drugs is death by overdose. Their high can be pushed too far, depending on the type of drug, it's concentration and the amount taken, you run the risk of stroking out, having a heart attack or overheating. Things not likely to happen on a rollercoster or during a soothing massage.

The other major problem is death by addiction. Very real, very common and almost certain with some drugs like heroin and crack unless rehab treatment occurs. What happens is the cells of your body get really accustomed to the artificial way certain drugs like heroin stimulate them. Each time the drug wears off your cells are traumatized. Especially, the nerve receptor cells in your brain. Your endorphin system gets fried and starts to only respond to the drug you're taking. You need proper endorphin function for proper body function, so your body starts to rely on the drug inorder to release them. Very bad. Your body can only take so many up and down cycles from the taking and withdrawing off the drug. Eventually, it can no longer tolerate the addiction due to your cells being so damaged. Then, you die and it is very unpleasant.

Suffice to say, drugs are a very clever trap. They simulate natural highs in a very easy, intense manner, then they make you dependent on them, and then they kill you. Given the consequences, smart people get their highs naturally.

Anyone who has ever done herion is so messed up that they could not answer this question on here to begin with. Second of all they are probably in jail or dead. You are better off not knowing!

It is the most horrible thing that will ever happen to you. You will get that high once, and you will spend the rest of your life trying to get that high again. Also do not get picked up by paramedics when you are ****** up on heroin... We amuse ourselves by giving a drug that puts people into instant withdrawals, and that is the worst feeling in the world... funny though.

I am like you . I have done other drugs but thank God I never tried heroine either. But after reading your question, I suddenly flashed on the "garden of Eden". Serpent's sales pitch that "the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good/evil" equaled being God. Heroine= heaven without /God. Reality of both, death and hell !

I would never try it, only because I think I'd like it too much and I'd get hooked.
