HEROIN. please help if u are a Dr, key worker, addict, please give me your experience withdrawal response?

I have worked really hard for 6 month rehab.
On 5th of November before I started taking my naltraxone, I relapsed.
I then went into a quick detox centre (20th) and staid for a week (4 days meth). I had been out a week and took naltraxone too early (Friday 30th) 6 days after last methadone) which gave me precipitated withdrawal. I ended up smoking 1g heroin. Then last Sunday the 2nd I took naltraxone thinking the precipitated withdrawal would only last a few hours. It didn鈥檛 so I smoked again until about 23.00hrs that Monday I went to a safe place and for 5 days did a cold turkey (amazingly hard for only 2/3 day lapse.
Anyhow I basically felt like I wasn鈥檛 withdrawing from Thursday afternoon and felt fantastic Friday 7th then that night I ended up smoking 1/2 g at 20.00-08.00am.
I am now going somewhere safe for next 10 days to get onto naltraxone; do you think I will feel withdrawals? As my body should have been clean and not withdrawing. Am I at last mondays square 1 again,PLEASE HELP!

i wish i could really help you out. just remember, relapse is a part of recovery. you sound like you need to get out of your addictive habbits. it sounds like you got through the withdrawl stage and you still went back. you need to lose your old lifestyle. the old you has to die and a new better you will be left. good luck

I came off twice after years of abuse with no substitutes and didn't I suffer?,then I moved home,country.Abit drastic but it done the trick!

Help is there but you gotta want to help yourself and want to stop. Withdrawal is hard but you made the choice to do heroin in the first place. What were you thinking? Its a long haul but people do stop.... eventually or they o.d

yes you are bak to sq one. dont give up and one day at a time hey,maybe get a sponser, change your strutcure. dont beat yourself up over this relapse, cos a lot of us go through this and find different ways to cope, u do wots best 4 u and i hope it all works out, hams38
