Heroin and hiv?

sounds unusual i know, but you can snort liquid from a needle
what are the chances of me contracting hiv from snorting the heroin from someone elses needle? if they had hiv themselves, that is. it happened a year ago and i havent been able to get the courage to take a test. i took it yesterday, and i can't stop crying thinking about if i could of got hiv from this encounter..please help

Possible? Yes. Likely? No. Since the needle does come in contact with their blood, blood can get inside the needle. And when you squirt it out, some blood may come out with it. But it's not likely, I wouldn't worry too much, odds are, your test is negative.

I've met some bad druggies in my life, but I've never seen or heard of anyone snorting the liquid. Oddly enough, that can actually drown you in a way. I know some ppl who snort a tiny bit of water after doing coke, but even that's not good for you. (Like drugs are! lol) Good luck hun!

Unless the needle touched his/her blood and then when you used it went inside of your skin, than no. If it did and you think that person had HIV that yes, if the person did not have HIV than no. Goodluck

Personally, I would be concerned. I'm not saying your test will come back positive... but if for some reason that needle touched any of their blood and then maybe scraped your nose while you used it, the possibility exists... I wish you luck and will pray for you that your test comes back ok.
