What is more potent - opium or heroin?

I know that Heroin is derived from Opium, but which is more potent? Is Heroin the watered-down Opium of today, or is Heroin much stronger then the substance being taken in the eighteenth century?

Heroin is more refined. Both will get you hooked. It's a full time job being hooked on the smack.

By your question it seems you are under the impression that people no longer misuse opium - you are very mistaken.

taking heroin pure isnt as bad as burning or watering it down. when you burning or watering it down your taking out all the pureness of heroin and leaving all the badness left to inject yourself.

you shouldnt even be taking heroin or any kind of drug anyway.

when people take heroin they also buy a bag of coke aswel to help them come off after the heroin wares off.
i only know this because i had a mate that deals drugs and i must say crak and heroin are prob the only drugs i havent taken in the past,ive never injected, but i was never addicted- it was just for fun in my clubbing days
