Help herniated disk?

help i have a herniated disk or a sciatic nerve problem i went to the doctor and all he did was give me pain medication and they are not working i have really bad pain all the time can someone please tell me how to stop the pain.

The Homeopathic Remedies ARNICA MONTANA + RHUS TOX + BRYONIA ALBA + HYPERICUM PERF all 4 in 30 potency together, three times a day half hour before meals will relieve the pain and cure the herniated discs within a few days, without any side effects or complications of any kind. Trust me I have'nt seen anything work better or faster. Initially you can take them together every hour till you start feeling relief after that the regular dosage i.e three times a day half hour before meals will be enough till 100% cured.
Works like a charm trust me !
Take care and God Bless you !

I had a herniated disc about 3 years ago. You need to see a nuerosurgeon, not your standard doctor. They will do an MRI to determine exactly whats goin on, then give you options. In my case, I needed surgery, buit in other cases, there is a regimen of physical therapy that can help. But the first step is seeing the nuerosurgeon, since a standard doc will just throw pills at the problem, which doesn't make it go away, just makes you dependent on Percocet. In the meantime, sleep on a flat surface on your back. Other than that, not much can be done, you just have to suffer through it till the surgeon tells you your choices, so get in right away to see one. Good Luck!

I have that and the answer is different for everyone. On some people the operation does more harm than good. And then again the operation works wonders, but no two people are the same. I'd stick with your Doctor or get a second opinion.

The best thing to do is always to see your Doctor when you have pain. Serious nerve damage can occur if you don't keep on top of it. Things can get worse if you can't afford to assume, the problem with disk problems is that they change regularly and you need to tell your Doctor when you get new pain.

Serious nerve damage can result if you get the operation, only a Physician can tell what treatment will work for you because each person is different. So this may be the reason he started you on pain medication -- in some cases it is the best course. Physicians usually offer pain killers because the damage is too near the enterance of a nerve bundle where it enters the spine.

I really would take an answer from here, not even mine, if you are worried about pain killers get a second opinion or ask your Physician's assistant for a "long" appointment, write down all your questions and your Physician will have the time to answer your questions and explain the dynamics so you understand and it very important that things are explained to your satisfaction.

Try going to a massage therapist (Canada) or in the USA a chiropractor. They may be able to help lessen the pain and encourage the herneation to retreat beck where it belongs. It may not solve the problem but wil help while you are deciding if surgery is needed or not.
