What will heal a herniated disk? |
MRIs showed that I have a herniated disk. I was told that surgery was my only option and I know that in the medical world there is always more than one option. Any advice or experiences are appreciated. Sorry, but surgery is the ONLY way to repair it. Think of your herniated disk as a bicycle tire...you can patch all the holes every time you get one, but eventually, you're going to have to buy a new tire. It's much better to be pain-free than to live with it and have it affect your life (and your metal health too)...chronic pain can lead to other health issues, like depression, etc. Surgery is the only option to fully cure a herniated disk. There are meds and exercises you can do to alleviate some of the pain. Surgery is your best option. But other than that when it starts getting bad ( the pain ) all you can really do is take it easy and get lots of bed rest. Once a disc is herniated or ruptured the only thing to do is have it repaired or removed by way of surgery to have any long term to permanent relief. it depends on what stage. minimun anti inflamatory will do. advance surgery. |
