I was said to have a herniated disk in my lower back. It has gotten to the point where I can't walk.?

If I wear a belt around my ribs and a back brace I can walk very slowly. Is this a herniated disk? Does anyone have some suggestions on how to relive the pain? I just started a new job, Im sill in orientation and I really don't want to miss another day.

+ I am taking lortab and a muscle relaxer.

I could really use some suggestons to get me through untill I am scheduled for back sugrery.

visit a chiropractor! obviously the medication is only covering up the pain. before you try surgery or anything drastic like that, go see a chiropractor. I'm sure there are some in your town. I would ask around to see if any friends recommend one. Just like in any profession, there are great doctors and not so great ones-but chiropractic definitely can help.

If you cant' walk the herniation is probably advanced. you need to do something about this ASAP! And if you should lose conttrol of bowels...that is a medical emergency.. please seek MEDICAL care that is past chiropractic.
